Vinspired National Awards Filming 2011

This is a video of what they filmed ready for the National Awards Ceremony in March. Adie was nominated for the Connect National Award for his Inclusion Projects ran at The Drop Inn

Freshers New Idea

We are looking to run the freshers projects as a Easter or Summer Programme. We haven't got enough time to run the extra nights at the moment. We've got the DJ workshops running Monday and the Film project running Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Also starting soon are a series of other projects which will be part of the lead up to the festival workshops and entertainment.

We are normally quiet over these periods anyway, so it would work better as a summer or easter project. Then we could run either a complete week in easter or a 6 week programme in summer.

Bearded Theory Festival Confirmation

It has now been confirmed we are to have an arena at Bearded Theory Festival. Our tent will be a 1000 capacity arena, where we'll be organising to have bands, dj's and loads of creative media workshops!

We are so excited!

Anti-Bullying Film post production

Through December a group of young people met every Tuesday and Wednesday night to come up with a story line for a hard hitting anti-bullying film. They have come up with the characters and the story line, and are currently rehearing scene by scene ready for when Filmcity return to film it next week.

Happy New Year

It's going to be an exciting year for the Drop Inn.
Over Christmas we planned:

> Re-launch of the new website with Online Radio Station, Online Game, more pages and even competitions!
> We planned a fundraiser Skydive!
> To Run a Festival Arena over 3 days.
> Offer more Alternative education Courses.
> Set-up a C.I.C (Community Interest Company) as a trading arm for The Drop Inn Registered Charity.
> Run some more unique and creative workshops and network with more art and media establishments.

These are almost like resolutions we hope to achieve through the year :)
Wish us luck and keep an eye on what we managed to do off this list!
