Film Project 2010 Update

This film project is coming to an end, all the footage has been shot. In this session people Were taking it in turns to edit the footage, while the rest were thinking of idea's for a logo or brand image to represent the Young and Older people in the film.

The only thing they are waiting for now is the Rap from Adie and Jasper to complete this film. It's looking really good. Tom also needs to finish developing the brand image or logo with the Young People them incorporate it into the final edit.

Can't wait to see the final piece! Thank You again Filmcity!

Sneak Skate Preview

We lowered one of the sides of the Skate ramp to use as a bank. Until the skate ramp is insured No-one can skate it properly, but We have thought of a safe way people can half use it. We are going to build a small ramp leading into the quarter pipe, so skaters can use it as a bank and just roll into it to gain speed for tricks. The idea of building this extension / adaption to the ramp to make it safe to use as a bank came from the Young Skaters. So We are looking at building it as soon as We can.

After getting the chance to skate part of the ramp there was a sudden swam of skater appear from the Skate park down the road. It is now one of our priorities to get the ramp sorted after seeing so many happy skaters.

Street Dance update

The Street dance evolved more into dance workshops, which has ended up being really good. There are more Girls joining in the Dance workshops who have said they really enjoy them, so we are looking at doing some more dance workshops and covering more dance styles.

The street dance will probably start toward the end of the year, but for now everyone is really happy learning all other styles of dance. As long as the Youth are happy and getting involved We are happy to carry the Dance classes as they are.

AVHL Funding + Support

Amber Valley Housing has kindly given The Drop Inn some money to finally repair the broken and leaky Office roof. This Will help the security of this side of The Drop Inn, meaning We can install a new alarm, CCTV and also the New metal grills. This wouldn't of been possible with out repairing the roof first, which definitely wouldn't have been possible with out the help from Amber Valley Housing, so THANK YOU from The Drop Inn.

Speaker Revamp

The NEW base speakers originally from the Rock House Club in Derby are being stripped down and repainted, they are looking pretty smart so far. We are getting them all ready for the official launch of the NEW 3.5K Frankenstein sound system.
