BBQ - Thursday 8th May
While the weather was nice we thought it would be rude not to have a BBQ!
If anyone missed it, as soon as the weathers nice we'll have another!! nobody got ill this time so our cooking is safe!
bit burnt but oh well adds to the flavor!

Drum workshop
A visit from members of Riff Raff arts group ended up with a full on drum workshop, around 30 young people beating drums, bins, tvs chairs and anything else they could find. It sounded really good considering!! Not sure if the neighbours would agree!! There is to be more sessions with Riff Raff in the Autumn, details to follow, all will be welcome.

How do you get 6 people,2 x 6'planks and an oil barrel through a small space from a distance of 4' without touching the floor or the sides of the 'wall'?
Answer: with much shouting, head scratching and jumping about, then take 5 minutes out to think about it logically, after that its easy - but we cant give the secret away on here haha!!

Cinnema
Any suggestions for films thurs night..?
Projection space is open but still under construction. We need people to bring in any film posters old and new to paste on the walls! Cheers

Pass the parcel
The main game was pass the parcel filled with forfits. An example of the forfits was eat chili or drink a cup of water through the person on your lefts sock, and others like eat a raw onion and a tea spoon of coffee, mmm.
Air Pool
A simple party game where you blow pool balls into the opposing teams pockets, the first to five wins, Girls verses Boys!

Drop Inn Online Blog
The Drop Inn sets up a Blog so everyone can keep track on what events are going on and updates of what's going on behind the scenes. This is the beginning of The Drop Inn online, website hopefully coming soon.

Launch of the D-i Trademark logo
The logo was one of the original designs that was never released in 2001, when it was first thought The Drop Inn needed one. There was a few different designs. But the one that is used from now was one that got shelved for 6 years. When it was re-descovered it was smartened up a bit and put in front of the Youth first, who Liked it. Then the logo was put in front of the rest of the Managers and trustees. Everyone was pleased with the symbol so it slowly started to get used, with stickers as the first main form of cheap branding.
