Home Page Illustration

This is one of the Designs for the New Website, this will be what the Home Page looks like.

We decided to illustrate all the pages instead of using photo's from the original website design ideas.

The illustrations are more fun to look at and more eye catching. We also wanted to almost create a virtual Drop Inn centre to look around before visiting the actual centre.

Safe Rave Wall Proposal

We are looking at changing the Knife crime wall into the 'Safe Rave' wall. The knife crime wall has been there for 2 years now and need updating.
There is a lot of people asking about the 'safe raves' and want to see what they look like, so the new wall will be an exhibition of all the 'safe raves' so far, showing the promotional art work and flyers along side celebrity signatures and event photos.

Anti-bullying Filming Submission

The anti-bullying film shot over the last month has been edited and finished ready for the submission at the end of January. Well done everyone involved you have all worked very hard on this project especial under the very limited time you had to put it all together. We will see it in March at the Donut Studios in Chesterfield. Thank You again Filmcity it's been another great project.

Secret 'Safe Rave'

This was a new idea and a new direction for the 'safe raves,'

We decided to tell no-one about it, so none of the young people knew what was happening, or who was playing.

It was a great successful experiment with 98 young people turning up.

Apart from the DJ being a complete secret, we also hide the dance floor so you had to walk around a corner to see what was going on, and more noticeably all the staff were in fancy dress.

The fancy dress was no particular theme, just something silly. It shocked and amused all the Young people. It was for a laugh and a big surprise, but it also worked with showing the young people just how dedicated to being silly all the workers are.

It had a great atmosphere with loads of new faces turning up, just hope we didn't scare the new ones away with our outfits.

Anti-Bullying Finishing Filming

The film crew agreed to call in for a bit of extra time to finish shooting this anti-bullying film, to make sure it's all finished ready for the submission day. The last of the filming will be done tonight with Filmcity. Then the editing will take place and we'll just have it ready in time for the submission date. Then the film will be exhibited at the Donut Studios in March as part of a big anti-bullying campaign across Derbyshire. All our young people involved in the=is project have worked really hard and come up with a very hard hitting story line that get some serious messages across.

Vinspired National Awards Filming 2011

This is a video of what they filmed ready for the National Awards Ceremony in March. Adie was nominated for the Connect National Award for his Inclusion Projects ran at The Drop Inn

Freshers New Idea

We are looking to run the freshers projects as a Easter or Summer Programme. We haven't got enough time to run the extra nights at the moment. We've got the DJ workshops running Monday and the Film project running Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Also starting soon are a series of other projects which will be part of the lead up to the festival workshops and entertainment.

We are normally quiet over these periods anyway, so it would work better as a summer or easter project. Then we could run either a complete week in easter or a 6 week programme in summer.
